Collecting old radios is very fascinating, because there is such a variety in makes, models and not to mention the styles like Art-Deco,machine-age,cathedrals and so on. In Europe we like American and Canadian radios and in the USA they like European radios from Philips,Erres,Grundig, blaupunkt and so on. In my collection I do have radios from almost any country in the world. They differ not only in style but also in the materials used. Wood, bakelite, metal, plastic, catalin or a combination of these. If you should say what is the nicest radio in my collection, I have to think carefully but the answer will be: I have five different round models from an British Company named EKCO. These radios are hard to find and are made between the years 1934 and 1945. | ||||||||||||||||||||
